Staying Connected to Your Care
We use secure text messaging (SMS) to make it easier for you to stay on top of your care.
What You Can Expect
- If we have your mobile number on file, you may receive text messages such as:
- Appointment reminders
- Check-in instructions before your visit
- Basic care-related updates
These messages are not marketing or advertising messages — they are only to support your care and appointments.
Appointment Reminders
You will receive an email from a 10-digit number, likely beginning with area code (844) XXX-XXXX. The reminder will include your appointment date and time as well a link to confirm or cancel your appointment and check in, if desired.
📲 Mobile Check-In
- You may receive a text with a link to check in before your visit. Here’s how it works:
- Click the link in your text message
- Enter your date of birth
- Enter a verification code sent to your phone
- Review and confirm your information (contact details, insurance, medications, allergies, etc.)
This helps reduce wait times and keeps your information up to date.
🔒 Your Privacy & Security
We take steps to protect your information, including:
- Sending secure, one-time verification codes
- Requiring confirmation of your identity before showing your information
- Limiting access to only the phone number we have on file
Important
Text messaging is not fully secure. While we take precautions, there is always some risk when using mobile communication.
Things to Know
- Anyone with access to your phone may be able to see your messages. If someone has access to your phone and knows your date of birth, they could potentially complete check-in and view information. For this reason, we recommend:
- Keeping your phone secure
- Not sharing your verification codes
- Letting us know if your phone number changes
⚠️ Risks of SMS Communication
By receiving text messages, you acknowledge:
- Messages may not always be encrypted
- Delivery is not guaranteed (delays or failures can happen)
- Message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier
❌ How to Opt Out
You can stop receiving text messages at any time:
- Reply STOP to any message
- Call our office and request removal from SMS
- Tell staff during your visit
Once you opt out, you will no longer receive text reminders or check-in links.
