    Dr. Muana is double certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine. He earned his M.D. Degree in April 2000 at the University of the Visayas-Gullas College of Medicine in Cebu Philippines. Dr. Muana had his Internal Medicine Residency and Geriatric Medicine Fellowship training at the New Your Flushing Hospital Medical Center in Queens, New York. Having practiced both across the U.S. (New York, Virginia, and Hawai'i) and abroad (in the Philippines), Dr. Muana currently enjoys serving our Kaua'i Community at our Ho'ola Lahui Hawaii Waimea Medical Clinic. Dr. Muana is fluent in English as well as Visayan and Tagalog dialects. he was the president of the Philippine Medical Association of Southeastern Virginia in 2016. He co-captained a champion Dragon boat racing team during his fellowship training in New York. He enjoys fishing, detailing cars as well as fixing cars. His favorite sports are basketball, baseball, table tennis and archey. Dr. Muana is married to a Physical Therapist and they have 3 daughters. He is active in church choir and spending time with his family is what he loves the most.
